The Root Of Ingratitude

Image
"For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened."   (Romans 1:21) When gratitude springs up in the human heart toward God, he is magnified as the wealthy source of our blessing. He is acknowledged as giver and benefactor and therefore as glorious. But when gratitude does not spring up in our hearts at God's great goodness to us, it probably means that we don't want to pay him a compliment; we don't want to magnify him as our benefactor.  And there is a very good reason that human beings by nature do not want to magnify God with thanksgiving or glorify him as their benefactor. The reason is that it detracts from their own glory, and all people by nature love their own glory more than the glory of God. At the root of all ingratitude is the love of one's own greatness. For genuine gratitude admits that we are beneficiaries of an unearned beques

The Cost of Misplaced Anger

Image
" An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins. "    Proverbs 29:22 Anger has a price tag, when we realize that truth, we’re more likely to control the anger in our life. As the Bible tells us,  “A hot-tempered man … gets into all kinds of trouble”  (Proverbs 29:22 TLB). Most of us have seen someone do something really stupid, because that person was angry, and the Bible is very specific on the cost of anger: =>   It causes arguments (Proverbs 15:18). =>   It causes mistakes (Proverbs 14:29). =>   It causes foolish things (Proverbs 14:17). We’ve probably seen all of these results from our own anger and the anger of others, the Bible is also clear on the ultimate conclusion of our inappropriately expressed anger. Proverbs 11:29 says, “The fool who provokes his family to anger and resentment will finally have nothing worthwhile left.”  Think of the impact anger has on our family. As parents, we’re often tempted to use

Divine Appointments

Image
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."   (Matthew 5:4) There is something good waiting beyond disappointment for each of us. There are appointments that God has destined. There are good works for each of us to do. And isn’t it interesting that the word  appointment  comes from within the word  disappointment ?  I’ve often marveled at that because I’ve seen again and again how disappointments take something from us: a dream, a piece of our hearts—maybe whole chucks of it. But disappointment leaves something too: a gift, an opportunity, the possibility of creating change. This means we can move from the valley of the shadow of death to new horizons and bring others with us on that road.  The enemy would like us to feel such a depth of disappointment that we never find our way back to the plan God has for us. If he can convince us to stay stuck in our disappointment, we’ll miss many of our future God appointments. I realize that some disappointments see

Living Fearless

Image
"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love."   (1 John 4:18) For years, I yearned for deliverance from my fears, but I wanted something more than the Lord’s simple instructions to keep my eyes on him. Instead, I prayed fervently for him to remove my fears. “Why won’t you just take this fear from me?” I demanded.  God, in his tender mercy, sent me back to his Word. There I read that perfect love casts out fear. I realized that fear will not get us through danger. But love can. God’s love resides in us, but we’re not always confident of that because we can’t see it. We do see the dangers, being too high off the ground, perhaps, or staring into the cold face of an enemy. So we doubt, we question, and we let fear take over.  God knew that we would be afraid, that we would doubt. That’s why he tells us again and again in the Bible, “Fear not.” Three hundred and fifty times

Do It With Your Might

Image
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going."   Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NKJV)  "Whatever thy hand finds to do," refers to works that are possible. There are many things which our heart finds to do which we never shall do. It is well it is in our heart; but if we would be eminently useful, we must not be content with forming schemes in our heart, and talking of them; we must practically carry out "whatever our hand finds  to do." One good deed is more worth than a thousand brilliant theories.  Let us not wait for large opportunities, or for a different kind of work, but do just the things we "find to do" day by day. We have no other time in which to live. The past is gone; the future has not arrived; we never shall have any time but time present. Then do not wait until your experience has ripened into maturity before you attempt to serve God.  Endea

THINK Before You Speak in Anger

Image
“A fool expresses all his emotions, but a wise person controls them."   (Proverbs 29:11 GW) Anger confounds many people in our world today. We simply don’t know how to handle our anger like we have in the past. One of the Bible’s simplest yet most profound answers for our anger comes in Proverbs 29:11:  “ A fool expresses all his emotions, but a wise person controls them ”  (GW) .  Think before you speak. Delay is a tremendous remedy for anger. You don’t need to delay indefinitely. If you’ve got an issue you need to deal with, you need to do so. Anger delayed indefinitely becomes bitterness. That’s worse than anger. Bitterness is always a sin; anger isn’t.  If you respond impulsively, you tend to respond in anger. If you wait to talk about whatever conflict you’re dealing with, you’ll be more rational and reasonable when you do. The longer you hold your temper, the better your response will be. Give yourself time to think. When conflict arises and you give yourself time to

Do Not Grieve The Holly Spirit Of God

Image
"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."    Ephesians 4:30 All that the believer has must come from Christ, but it comes solely through the channel of the Spirit of grace. Moreover, as all blessings thus flow to us through the Holy Spirit, so also no good thing can come out of us in holy thought, devout worship, or gracious act, apart from the sanctifying operation of the same Spirit. Even if the good seed be sown in us, yet it lies dormant except He works in us to will and to do of his own good pleasure.  Do we desire to speak for Jesus, how can we unless the Holy Spirit touch our tongue? Do we desire to pray?  Alas!, what dull work it is unless the Spirit makes intercession for us! Do we desire to subdue sin? Would we be holy? Would we imitate your Master? Do you desire to rise to superlative heights of spirituality? Are you wanting to be made like the angels of God, full of zeal and ardour for the Master's c

Do Not Forget To Show Hospitality

Image
"Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:1-2 Recently I spoke with a man who was looking for a church to attend, and he told me about one church he visited and said, “You know, when I walked into that church for the first time, i didn’t know a single person, and all the people were huddled together as a big community, enjoying each other’s fellowship, which was great. But not one person welcomed me in.”  Very often, we see people in the body of Christ become so inwardly focused that they forget there are people outside the walls who need to know Jesus as Savior. They neglect welcoming others into the community of faith because they’re so engrained with their church clique.  But I can’t help but wonder what would happen if we stepped out of those cliques, turned our focus outward more often, and extended a warm welc

The Attitude Will Reflect The Character

Image
Read: Proverbs 20: 1-15 In the context of the era of the all pragmatic, relatively, and consumptive, the line between right and wrong; the good and the bad have become increasingly blurred. Without realizing it, many people have been affected by the spirit of this age in which what is right and wrong become relative. As if everything is directed dependent on trust and the views of each person. Not so for the Proverbs view of what is true and untrue, and he emphatically teach this to the people of God, then several personality profiles that are not right in this life, among others: drinkers (v1), the person who likes to raise the ire of others (v2), the stupid angry (v3), idler (v4, 13), and the to cheat (v10, 14). People like the way his life will only be bothersome others and harm himself.  If so, then what sort of behavior is right and who should be doing the people of God in his life? Ie, away from discord (v3), designing life with good (v5), live faithfully (v6), apply a

Respond With Gracefully

Image
“Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end."  Proverbs 29:11 We can’t control to much of what happens to us, in life, we can’t control our parents are, for who, we were born, and a variety of other factors that have a significant influence on our life. But we can choose how we react to what life throws our way, and we can get angry or stressed out or shrink into depression when slights come on us, or we can respond with gracefully, and  the choice is always on us. The Bible says, “Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end."  Proverbs 29:11 To live responsibly, we must put our minds in gear before we put our mouths in gear. We must think before we act.  When others cause pain in our lives, we often respond by trying to get even. Ironically, in our effort to “get even” with a person who has wronged us, we do get even. We sink to the other person’s level. God calls us to a much greater response: forgiveness .  W

Avoid Foolish Questions

Image
"But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law;  for they are unprofitable and useless."   Titus 3:9 Our days are few, and are far better spent in doing good, than in disputing over matters which are, at best, of minor importance. The old schoolmen did a world of mischief by their incessant discussion of subjects of no practical importance; and our Churches suffer much from petty wars over abstruse points and unimportant questions. After everything has been said that can be said, neither party is any the wiser, and therefore the discussion no more promotes knowledge than love, and it is foolish to sow in so barren a field. Questions upon points wherein Scripture is silent; upon mysteries which belong to God alone; upon prophecies of doubtful interpretation; and upon mere modes of observing human ceremonials, are all foolish, and wise men avoid them. Our business is neither to ask nor answer foolish questions, but to avoid them al

The Inner Life Of A Believer

Image
In this metaphor, which has reference to the inner life of a believer, we have very plainly the idea of secrecy. It is a spring shut up: just as there were springs in the East, over which an edifice was built, so that none could reach them save those who knew the secret entrance; so is the heart of a believer when it is renewed by grace: there is a mysterious life within which no human skill can touch. It is a secret which no other man knoweth; nay, which the very man who is the possessor of it cannot tell to his neighbour. The text includes not only secrecy, but separation. It is not the common spring, of which every passer-by may drink, it is one kept and preserved from all others; it is a fountain bearing a particular mark--a king's royal seal, so that all can perceive that it is not a common fountain, but a fountain owned by a proprietor, and placed specially by itself alone. So is it with the spiritual life. The chosen of God were separated in the eternal decree; they were s

The Lord Is My Portion

Image
"The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!"  (Lamentations 3:24) It is not "The Lord is partly my portion," nor "The Lord is in my portion"; but he himself makes up the sum total of my soul's inheritance. Within the circumference of that circle lies all that we possess or desire. The Lord is my portion. Not his grace merely, nor his love, nor his covenant, but Jehovah himself. He has chosen us for his portion, and we have chosen him for ours. It is true that the Lord must first choose our inheritance for us, or else we shall never choose it for ourselves;  The Lord is our all-sufficient portion. God fills himself; and if God is all-sufficient in himself, he must be all- sufficient for us. It is not easy to satisfy man's desires. When he dreams that he is satisfied, anon he wakes to the perception that there is somewhat yet beyond, and straightway the horse-leech in his heart cries, "Give, give." But

Do Not Harden Your Hearts

Image
" S o we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief."  (Hebrews 3:19) Even though the people of Israel saw the waters of the Red Sea divide and they walked over on dry ground, the moment they got thirsty, their hearts were hard against God and they did not trust him to take care of them. They cried out against him and said that life in Egypt was better. That is what this verse is written to prevent. O how many professing Christians make a start with God. They hear that their sins can be forgiven and that they can escape hell and go to heaven. And they say: “What have I got to lose? I'll believe.”  But then in a week or a month or a year or ten years, the test comes — a season of no water in the wilderness. A weariness with manna, and subtly a growing craving for the fleeting pleasures of Egypt, as Numbers 11:5–6 says, “We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garli

When The Foundations Are Being Destroyed

Image
“When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”  (Psalm 11:3) What we believe about the world around us shapes everything about our lives, and determines our behavior, then our behavior determines what we become, and that has a direct effect on the direction of our life, the same is true of a country or the world; that they are largely shaped by the values we believe. But the problem is, we’ve bought into three very destructive philosophies that have replaced truth in our lives: =>  In dividualism (love for ourself):  We buy into the lie that we’re the only standard for our lives, It didn’t work well then, and it doesn’t work well today. => Secularism (God is unnecessary):  You can summarize this in three words:  God is unnecessary.  In the past half-century, we’ve been systematically removing God from all areas of our lives — from schools to the government to the media. We’ve basically relegated God to Sunday mornings, if we even consider him then.

Establish A Community Of Loves

Image
"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited."   (Romans 12:16) All Christians share a common bond—a belief in Jesus. But unfortunately that bond is often overlooked or damaged by strife and discord. However, the Bible instructs Christians to  live in harmony with one another  and to bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another ( see Romans 12:16, Colossians 3:13) .  This need for love, harmony, and forgiveness is important because we, as Christians, cannot be an effective community without unity—and that means helping each other, forgiving each other, and walking in love with one another.  Galatians 6:2   says, " Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. " This means that if we help each other—in other words, walk in love—then we, as Christians, will fulfill Christ's law, which is to love on

Do Good To Those Who Hate You

Image
“Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,  bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.  If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them." (Luke 6:27b-29) When you’re persecuted, harassed, and face opposition, you need to respond with a blessing. Who does that?! Not many people, actually. It’s what sets Christians apart, because it’s not a natural or popular or easy response. It takes a lot of courage to do those things! Any fool can fight back. Any wimp can retaliate. Any idiot can say something mean back. Even parrots can be taught to curse. God wants you to love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who hurt you, and turn the other cheek. Is that easy? No. You can only do it by being filled with God’s love. And, it is the most powerful form of witness. When you refuse to retaliate and instead respond in love at work or w

No Branch Can Bear Fruit By Itself

Image
"Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me."   (John 15:4) When you came to Jesus and cast yourselves on his great atonement, and rested on his finished righteousness, you begin to bear fruit, It was what fruit you had then!, you will remember those early days, then indeed the vine flourished, the tender grape appeared, the pomegranates budded forth, and the beds of spices gave forth their smell. Have you declined since then? If you have, we charge you to remember that time of love, and repent, and do thy first works. Be most in those engagements which you have experimentally proved to draw you nearest to Christ, because it is from him that all your fruits proceed. Any holy exercise which will bring you to him will help you to bear fruit. The sun is, no doubt, a great worker in fruit-creating among the trees of the orchard: and Jesus is still more so among the

Love is the visible attribute of an invisible God.

Image
"No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."    1 John 4:12 In other words,  even though no person has ever actually seen God the Father, but we are able to see God's character when we love one another. Remember that  God is love  (1 John 4:8); in this, the love of God was manifested among us, so, when we walk in love, God lives in us in the perfect way. Thus, although we can't actually see God, we can see his character in our love for each other (and in his love for us). Indeed, Romans 5:8 tells us that  God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Furthermore, Jesus said that we, his disciples, will be known by our fruit:  By their fruit you will recognize them   (Matthew 7:16,20).  Galatians 5:22 tells us what that fruit is:  The fruit of the Spirit is love ... Thus,  we are known by our love —love for one another and love for God, it is so imp

Wipe Your Fears Away

Image
Psalm 56:3 says, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you" , it does not say, “ I never struggle with fear.”   When fear strikes, it's mean that the battle begins. So whym the Bible does not assume that true believers will have no anxieties, instead, the Bible tells us how to fight when they strike. One possible response to the truth that our anxiety is rooted in unbelief goes like this: “I have to deal with feelings of anxiety almost every day; and so I feel like my faith in God’s grace must be totally inadequate. So I wonder if I can have any assurance of being saved at all", and my response to this concern is: Suppose you are in a car race and your enemy, who doesn’t want you to finish the race, throws mud on your windshield. The fact that you temporarily lose sight of your goal and start to swerve does not mean that you are going to quit the race. And it certainly doesn’t mean that you are on the wrong racetrack. Otherwise, the enemy wouldn’t bother you at all.

Fight Our Real Enemy

Image
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."   1 Peter 5:8 At the moment we have a fight for our faith, we need to identify the source of the struggle itself, which arises not because of other people, but obviously tend to come from within ourselves which has been controlled and shackled by the power of evils, whether we realize it?. In Revelation 12:10 Satan is called  “the accuser of the Christians.”  His number one job is to put us down. There is an unseen spiritual battle going on all around you. This pressure to keep you from doing the right thing is not really coming from other people. They’re just weapons. Most of the time they don’t even know they’re being used. The real issue is spiritual warfare, as it is written in Ephesians 6:12,  “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, ..... against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Satan really understand, it is futile to a

No Shame To Suffer For Being A Christian

Image
“It is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!”  ~ 1 Peter 4:16 You should never be embarrassed for standing for the truth and doing what’s right. The Bible says in 1 Peter 4:16,  “It is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!”   Is an insult going to kill you?, or, is a putdown going to kill you?, nor, Is somebody calling you a name or labeling you because you’ve made a stand for Christ going to hurt you?, "No". It’s not going to kill you. You need to understand something that will liberate your life: You don’t need other people’s approval to be happy. No matter what you do in life, somebody’s not going to like it. You can’t avoid disapproval. So if you’re going to have people’s disapproval either way, you may as well have their disapproval for doing the right thing rather than the wrong thing. This is important to remember as you face opposition. If

Focusing On God

Image
“If you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”  (1 Peter 3:14-15 ) Christianity is not for weaklings, wimps, or the faint of heart. It takes courageous men and women to follow Jesus. People all over the world are suffering, but what is it costing  u s to follow Christ? It’s unlikely we'll ever have to deal with violent oppression. But we have to deal with silent repression every single day as our culture becomes more and more secularized and anti-Christian, when we are faced with opposition, because of our faith, it’s natural to feel afraid, so how do we get rid of the fear of opposition?, or how do we get rid of the fear of disapproval? nor how do we get rid of the fear of being rejected? We are really need to be filled with God’s love, as the Bible says " there’s n

To Die Is Gain

Image
There are five reasons, how is it “ gain ” to die!: ..... 1) O ur spirits will be made perfect (Hebrews 12:22-23) , there will be no more sin in us. We will be done with the inner war and the heartrending disappointments of offending the Lord who loved us and gave himself for us.  2) We will be relieved of the pain of this world (Luke 16:24-25) , the joy of the resurrection will not yet be ours, but the joy of freedom from pain will be.  3) We will be given profound rest in our soul (Revelation 6:9-11) , there will be a serenity beneath the eye and care of God that surpasses anything we have known here on the softest summer evening by the most peaceful lake at our most happy moments.  4) We will experience a deep at-homeness (2 Corinthians 5:8). The whole human race is homesick for God, without knowing it. When we go home to Christ there will be a contentment beyond any sense of security and peace we have ever known. We are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather t

Awakening Of Humble Gratitude

Image
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful . . .” (2 Timothy 3:1–5) Notice how ingratitude goes with pride, abuse and insubordination, and in another place apostle Paul says, “Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, ... but rather thanksgiving” (Ephesians 5:4). So it seems that gratitude is the opposite of ugliness and violence. The reason this is so is that the feeling of gratitude is a humble feeling not a proud one. It is other-exalting, not self-exalting. And it is glad-hearted not angry or bitter. The key to unlocking a heart of gratitude and overcoming bitterness and ugliness and disrespect and violence is a strong belief in God, the Creator and Sustainer and Provider and Hope-giver. If we do not believe we are deeply indebted to God for all we have or hope to have, then the very spring of gratitude has gone dry.

When I Am Anxious

Image
When I am anxious about being sick, I battle unbelief with the promise, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). And I take the promise with trembling, “knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Romans 5:3–5). When I am anxious about getting old, I battle unbelief with the promise: “Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save” (Isaiah 46:4) When I am anxious about dying, I battle unbelief with the promise that “none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and lived again, t

I Will Pour Water Upon Him That Is Thirsty.

Image
When a believer has been fallen into a lowest point, in sadness situation of feeling. Sometimes he often tries to lift himself out of this circumstance, by pushing himself from darkness, murkiness on fears, such as is not the way out to rise up from the adversity, but still to continue in it. As well chain the eagle's wing to make it mount, as doubt in order to increase our grace. It is not the law, but the gospel which saves the seeking soul at first; and it is not a legal bondage, but gospel liberty which can restore the fainting believer afterwards. Slavish fear brings not back the backslider to God, but the sweet wooings of love allure him to Jesus' bosom.  Are you this morning thirsting for the living God, and unhappy because you cannot find him to the delight of your heart? Have you lost the joy of religion, and is this your prayer, "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation" (Psalm 51:12)? Are you conscious also that you are barren, like the dry ground; that y

The Root Of Anxiety

Image
“ But if God so clothes the grass of the field,  which today is alive  and tomorrow is thrown  into the oven, will he not much more clothe you,  O you of little faith?”  (Matthew 6:30) Jesus says that the root of anxiety is inadequate faith in our Father’s future grace, in fact, it is very discouraging to learn that what I thought was only a mere struggle with an anxious disposition but in reality, is rather a far deeper struggle with whether "I trust God, nor the existence of God” ,  and that’s what it’s like to learn that the real problem behind anxiety is unbelief in the promises of God’s nor the grace of God in the future, and for real, he is able to work such an extraordinary way, when we cry out, “ I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24).   Hallelujah, God bless

To Maintain Integrity

Image
Integrity demands that in every segment of our life, treated with the same intensity, as we have the same commitment to keep excellence in our marriage as we had done in our career. You have the same commitment to make excellence in ministry as you do in our parenting.  Let us learned to become a person of integrity by: =>  Keeping promises.  People of integrity always keep their word, as the Bible says in Proverbs 25:14, “ Like clouds and wind without rain is one who boasts of gifts never given." =>  Paying your bills.  You spend more money than you get yourself in debt for things that you can’t pay off?, that is a lack of integrity. Psalm 37:21 says, “The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously." =>  Refusing to gossip.  God is looking for men and women of integrity who know how to keep a secret and not pass it around on social media, and don’t talk about people behind their back, don’t even listen to gossip!,  as the Bible saya

Prayers Are Instanly Noticed In Heaven

Image
The moment Saul began to pray the Lord heard him, and prayers are instantly noticed in heaven. Here is comfort for the distressed but praying soul. Oftentimes a poor broken-hearted one bends his knee, but can only utter his wailing in the language of sighs and tears; yet that groan has made all the harps of heaven thrill with music; that tear has been caught by God and treasured in the lachrymatory of heaven, (Psalm 56:8) implies that they are caught as they flow. The suppliant, whose fears prevent his words, will be well understood by the Most High. He may only look up with misty eye; but "prayer is the falling of a tear," and tears are indicated as the diamonds of heaven; sighs are a part of the music of Jehovah's court, and are numbered with "the sublimest strains that reach the majesty on high." Think not that your prayer, however weak or trembling, will be unregarded. Jacob's ladder is lofty, but our prayers shall lean upon the Angel of the covenant

The First Step To Integrity

Image
“If you pray to God and seek the favor of the Almighty, and if you are pure and live with integrity, he will surely rise up and restore your happy home. And though you started with little, you will end with much.” ~Job 8:5-7 (NLT) If you are serious about becoming a man or woman of integrity, the first step is to admit that you haven’t had integrity. You just admit that you don’t always keep your promises. You often gossip, and you like it. Sometimes you slack off at work. You pretend to be someone you’re not. Just admit it all to God!  A lot of people segment their lives, and think they can live with integrity when they are harboring sin in one area of life as long as it doesn’t affect the other areas. None of us are perfect, but God doesn’t expect you to be perfect! He does, however, expect you to have integrity, and the starting point is to own up to your sins. God is more interested in your heart than your sins. You’re never going to be perfect. You’re never going to be sinle

Accept correction as direction.

Image
Instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;  Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.  ~ Proverbs 9:9 (NKJV) Parents aren't showing their children love if they never correct them. If your little boy is being mean to other kids, but you chose not to correct him, then he'll probably never change. However, if you love him enough that you want him to improve his behavior, then you'll correct him so that you can guide him in a different direction, genuine love is correcting others. God says in  Revelation 3:19, " Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. " If God's spirit is correcting you, then that a sign that he loves you. God loves you enough to risk offending you so that he can guide you away from things that might harm you.  When someone corrects you, don't become angry at them, and don't get mad; rather, rejoice that you're given a chance to grow and change. If you're wise, you'll appreciate and love the peopl

Lasting Legacy

Image
“A righteous person lives on the basis of his integrity. Blessed are his children after he is gone.” (Proverbs 20:7 GW) The Bible says that God blesses those who have integrity (Matthew 5:8). So what are the privilege blessings that we can expect, when we live our life with an authenticity and a pure  heart: =>.
