Submit Yourselves to God

Devotional verses James 4:1-10
What the bible says:

"You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."

Two important things that underlie our understanding of the verses contained in chapter 4, from a letter written by the apostle James, which clearly speaks to us about, fidelity in maintaining a relationship with God, and the denial of self that refers to spiritual infidelity because we have pleasure which refers to self-neglect and eventually obsessive by worldly pleasures.

I. Commit for spiritual adultery
  1. Pursuit of power, Rainbow coloring competition of human life in the pursuit of worldly pleasures both in terms of power, wealth and fame individual to justify all sorts of ways to achieve it, so that often led to disagreement and conflict, which is clearly visible that this refers to the orientation fulfillment of the needs-centered interests individuals with neglect as well as the expense of others. (James 4:1-2, see  Matthew 9:30-34)
  2. Pray in an attempt to self grandeur, Often God's people pray only limited means in achieving the goal to meet the needs of their sheer, so it tends to lead to the imposition of the will of the individual, and only to the extent of satisfying lust by forcing God to fulfill his desire and believes that God has a necessity to meet the tastes and desires of his people lust according to His promise. (James 4:3, see  Philippians 4:19; Matthew 6:11-12)
II. Maintaining relationship with God
  1. Living in humility, Humility is an attitude that tends to put the interests of others than with self-interest, so it has the ability to accept the existence of the people around him in the form of respect instead of underestimate their existence. (James 4:6, see Luke 7:36-50)
  2. Submit yourselves to God, Submit yourself to God entirely to not say swear words and fully accept God's plan in our lives, because there is no plan of God that makes the failure in our lives, because the real failures we face is the denial of self to God's plan. (James 4:7)
  3. Humble yourselves before the Lord, Attitude to life that is fully realized with everything behold we live in this life is the grace of God and have the awareness to think that we live only by  His guidance, which leads us into a friendly relationship with God completely. (James 4:8-10)
Each of us should look inward, to ask ourselves who your true friends in humility in full devotion to God with obedience to Him. God bless
