When a storm came up on the Sea of Galilee, Peter, a fisherman used to choppy waters faced the choice of giving in to fear or stepping out in faith. He knew how to make his way through a storm. He practically lived on the water. But he also knew his limitations. All his fears were whispering in his head, as they were in the heads of his companions: The winds are too fierce, the waves too high, the boat too fragile for us to survive this gale. Everyone in the boat began to cower in fear, their concentration fixed on all the dangers of the storm. JJust as Peter was about to give up himself, he looked out on the water and saw Jesus  w alking through the storm toward their boat! Trait Of Respect

“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” (Luke 6:31) Jesus tells us, “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 6:31). That may be the simplest yet most important character test in the Bible, and as the one of the greatest tests of our character is how we treating others, whether it’s a waitress, a waiter, a clerk, an employee, a secretary, or especially our children and our spouse, will tells others a great deal about us. The social psychologist Eric Hoffer once said, “Rudeness is the weak man’s imitation of strength.” It takes no intelligence at all to be rude.  The best place to practice this important character trait of respect is at home, as we has seen, more marriages are ruined by rudeness than anything else, it was really amazed at how many marriages are buried by one little dig after another.  Often we’re the most disrespectful to the people we care about the most, and treat our families in ways we would treat a stranger.  But, ...

Heavenly Union With Christ

"As was the man of dust, so also are those who  are  made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who  are heavenly. "   (I Corinthians 15:48) Heads and members was a natural one, and does not like that horrible image that Nebuchadnezzar saw in his dream. Head of pure gold, but the belly and thighs are brass, iron legs, and feet, part of iron and part of clay. ( See Daniel 2:32-33 )  The mystical body of Christ is absurd combination of opposites; members are mortal, and therefore Jesus died; glorified head is immortal, and because the body is immortal as well, for it stands records, "Because I live, you will live also." ( see John 14:19) As loving head of us, as is the body, and each member in particular. Show Proper Respect To Everyone

"Show proper respect to everyone , love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor. (1 Peter 2:17 NIV ) Respect has become an endangered value over the past few decades. We live in the “Age of Irreverence,” where sarcasm rules the day and everyone loves a good put down. Yet the Bible makes it clear that stable families — and stable societies — are built around respect. The Bible commands us to honor our parents, respect civil authority, and respect church leaders. Wives are called to respect husbands in Ephesians. In the book of 1 Peter, husbands are called to respect wives. Just to make it clear that the Bible leaves no one out, the Bible also tells us to “show proper respect to everyone” (1 Peter 2:17a NIV). Everyone, regardless of beliefs or behaviors, is worthy of respect.  Why?   =>  God made everyone . Stability is the mark of a mature Christian.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."   (John 14:27) In John 14:27, Jesus says,  "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives,"   God has given us peace so that we can be stable even in the midst of hard times, Jesus' peace, however, isn't like the world's peace, which depends on our circumstances; rather, God's peace is internal.  God's peace allows believers to be stable even in the midst of hard circumstances, difficult trials, and uncertain times. It's no wonder Paul said that he could be content, i.e. stable, in all circumstances:  " I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whet...

Find Balanced In Jesus

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."   (Matthew 6:33) Think of that our life are like a wheel, and as we know the center of the wheel are a hub, where all of the spokes of our life (which represent of our relationships, your family, your career, your goals, etc.) come from that hub.  We all build our lives around some sort of hub, and the question is, what will be our hub? Will it be our family? Will it be our career? Will it be about money?, or will it be Jesus? If we want to live a truly balanced life, we can only look at one person in all of history as a model: Jesus. If we put him at the center of our life, our life will be more balanced.  The center of our life is critical to developing a balanced life. A solid center leads to a solid life. A weak, flimsy center leads to a weak life. When we hear people tell us that their lives are coming unglued, it usually means one thing: They have a faul...

The Root Of Ingratitude

"For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened."   (Romans 1:21) When gratitude springs up in the human heart toward God, he is magnified as the wealthy source of our blessing. He is acknowledged as giver and benefactor and therefore as glorious. But when gratitude does not spring up in our hearts at God's great goodness to us, it probably means that we don't want to pay him a compliment; we don't want to magnify him as our benefactor.  And there is a very good reason that human beings by nature do not want to magnify God with thanksgiving or glorify him as their benefactor. The reason is that it detracts from their own glory, and all people by nature love their own glory more than the glory of God. At the root of all ingratitude is the love of one's own greatness.
