Confusion

Why Is It so Hard to Trust God?
Confusion

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen,
since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." ~2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)

How many times do you think you have spoken the words of the Lord’s Prayer? A hundred? A thousand? How many times have you said, “Your will be done on earth as in heaven?” Do you mean what you are praying? Did you realize that every time you say those things you are asserting that God’s agenda is more important than yours?

Some people find their trust in God draining away because he doesn’t seem to be doing what they want when they want it. Think for just a moment what God’s greatest desire for you is. It is not to make you wealthy, famous, powerful, or even comfortable. It is to get you through the minefield of your earthly life safely home to heaven.

Let God’s ultimate goal for your life be your goal too. Replace confusion with this kind of clarity: “We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18). Ah--I can see clearly now. You?
God bless
