Feeding Your Soul

Honor God by Taking Care of His Temple:
Feeding your soul

"I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life."  Psalm 119:93 (NIV)

We live in a restless age. People know that we are more than merely organic machines. People long for something spiritual, and they will sometimes adopt outrageous practices and beliefs to try to fill that aching hole in their lives. There’s a psychic/tarot card shop right around the corner from my house.

Jesus told Satan at a time of major crisis in his life that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of God’s mouth. He told the woman at the well at Sychar that he had water for her to drink after which she would never be thirsty again. The writer of the longest psalm, #119, which is a rhapsody on the delights of the Scriptures, worships his Lord: “I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life” (Psalm 119:93).

Nobody’s life will be spiritually and emotionally healthy without God’s Word in the center. Is morning, afternoon, or evening best for your quiet time with your Bible?
God bless
