Power From Prayer

Romans 15:5-6 NIV.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement
give you the same attitude of mind toward each other
that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one
voice you may glorify the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Parenting is a team sport. When you and your spouse are "of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus," you can make the kind of parenting decisions that are best for everyone in the family. These verses are a helpful prayer for parents. With the aid of the Holy Spirit, the result will be appropriate choices, great consequences, and the empathy necessary to deliver both. By praying and seeking God's will together, you and your spouse (or friends) can with "one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Each spouse can learn something from the other. Single parents can learn from friends who are parents. When you talk about difficult parenting situations and pray together for guidance, you glorify God.   God Bless.

"Before honor is humility. "   [Proverbs 15:33] Humiliation of soul always brings a positive blessing with it. If we empty our hearts of self, God will fill them with his love. He who desires close communion with Christ should remember the word of the Lord, “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My word.” [Isa.66:22] Stoop if you would climb to heaven. Do we not say of Jesus, “He who descended is also the One who ascended?” [Eph.4:10] So must you. You must grow downwards, that you may grow upwards; for the sweetest fellowship with heaven is to be had by humble souls, and by them alone. The Call Of The Natural Life

" But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being."  (Galatians 1:15-16 NIV)  The call of God is not a call to serve Him in any particular way. My contact with the nature of God will shape my understanding of His call and will help me realize what I truly desire to do for Him. The call of God is an expression of His nature; the service which results in my life is suited to me and is an expression of my nature. The call of the natural life was stated by the apostle Paul—“When it pleased God . . . to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him [that is, purely and solemnly express Him] among the Gentiles . . . .” Service is the overflow which pours from a life filled with love and devotion.
