Setting Priorities

Honor God by Taking Care of His Temple:
Setting priorities

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well."  (Matthew 6:33).

You have a priority system, whether you realize it or not. Your internal value system helps you decide what to do and which things to do first. Some people do whatever makes them feel good . . . or whatever builds up their ego . . . or whatever is easiest . . . or whatever leads to money. And you?

There’s a reason why the very first commandment on God’s list instructs us to put him first. One of the most authentic ways we can show that we have no other gods, that the Lord our God really is our number one, is to make him the decisive factor in all major decisions.

Jesus not only encouraged that kind of thinking, but he attached a huge promise to it: “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these material, temporary things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). You believe him? Call his bluff.  God Bless.
